What is a Gift Aid Declaration?

A Gift Aid Declaration is a statement that you wish a charity to recover tax that you have already paid and that you cannot get back yourself. Everyone who pays income tax or capital gains tax can sign a Gift Aid Declaration. The parish of St. Dominic's is part of the Archdiocese of Glasgow which is a registered charity. This means the parish can reclaim tax paid when a Gift Aid Declaration has been made, which generates extra income for the parish at no additional cost to the parishioner. To make a Gift Aid Declaration all you need to do is fill in a simple form, please see one of the priests.
